|The OCULFIT orbital implant is made of high-density polyethylene.
Its interconnected open pore structure design allows vascularisation and tissue growth inside it.
It is proven to be a stable material that is biocompatible with tissues, providing surgeons with a safe implant for orbital reconstruction.
This implant model is suitable for:
- Reconstructing the orbit to prevent or treat diplopia caused by decreased orbital volume or by an
entrapment of the inferior rectus muscle.
- Reconstructing the orbital floor avoiding the functional problems of the enophthalmos, which causes an
increase in orbital volume.
